<div>Thank you in advance for your time and interest. I am a trans Kansan who is currently seeking assistance during this time of sudden relocation. I am currently in much debt as I have taken out college loans, however, the good news is I am set to graduate with an associates degree in liberal arts in May. I am a non-traditional student who is in her fifties. I was homeless after high school for six years, due to being undiagnosed with ADHD and trauma from cPTSD that developed from years of being raised by transphobic parents.

<div>My plan to move forward onto a bachelor's degree might seem too far out of reach, especially considering I am unsure of my future when I resettle. I had wanted to teach English Language Arts in a public school, but I changed my mind after years of being labeled terrible misnomers. To get to the point, my time living in this part of the world is coming to a close, a new chapter of my life is beginning, and I'm afraid that means it has once again become time to ask for the help of strangers. When I was homeless, it became a point of pride to ask as little of others as possible. I do not have this luxury as the state of Kansas has made it literally impossible to feel safe inside its borders.

<div>The problem is there will be a span of time when my life falls into a sort of limbo, and I simply do not have the resources to disrupt my life suddenly to make a move two thousand miles away. I am, hopefully with the pride I still feel able to muster, asking you for your monetary assistance in helping me. I am an out trans woman of two decades living in Kansas. I have given many spoken engagements describing my experience to my community. I have even helped to raise some of their children. I truly hope the many contributions I could point to help you to understand how much I am giving up, as I hope this desperate plea helps you to understand how difficult this is for me.
