When a group of high school students asked me to help facilitate a production of my favorite musical, RENT, I agreed to try. We spent countless hours in negotiations with venues and MTI, and finally worked out a way to make it work on a razor thin budget. But, today we got awful news. Poway Unified School District had agreed to waive our facilities fees, but have now backed out and are charging us THOUSANDS. Our cast of high school students have been working incredibly hard, and we're halfway through rehearsals! But I just don't have the funds to continue the production. Please donate whatever you can to save our show. I can't bear to disappoint these hard working artists.
