PLEASE SAVE MY TORY CAT!!!

My name is Jewell Horton, I manage the Pender County Animal Shelter.  Tory is our 5 year old Tortie cat.  My husband found her as 5 week old kitten at a welding shop in Pender County.  She was the only kitten brave enough to approach for food.  In the week it took him to be-friend her, her entire family was killed on Hwy 117.  The orphaned kitten came home with him.  I was late term pregnant and on bed rest and she stayed bedside with me, lying on my belly until I delivered.  From the DAY we came home with our son, she has been his best friend.  A year ago she had a neurologic episode that lasted almost a week.  Aggressive hospitalization pulled her through, but the cause could not be found.  Last week she became ill again.  It was discovered she has one of the following: Nasopharyngeal Polyps, Feline Inflammatory Polyps, or Ear Polyps. Her polyp is in her ear.  It is causing her discomfort and is probably what caused her to become neurologic last year but was too small to be seen without a CT scan.  It has grown and has to be removed by a specialist.  The cost depending on the exact location of the polyp is $800-$2000!!!!!  Our personal life circumstances do not allow us to pay for this procedure out of pocket.  PLEASE HELP!!!!   I have devoted my professional life (almost 20 years) to animal welfare.  I am beside myself that I cannot help her on my own.  ANY AMOUNT makes a difference!
