My name is Kali Williams, and I live in California. I have an incredible daughter, Amelia, aged 4.
On Friday, I learned that, outside of my control, a family member greatly increased her risk of exposure to COVID-19, in spite of the fact that Amelia has chronic adenoid inflammation (adenoid hypertrophy). Additionally, we live with two “high risk” family members for whom COVID-19 would be a death sentence. I filed for an ex parte emergency hearing and was denied temporary custody because I did not have the proper documentation. There is a trial set for next month and all of my paperwork needs to be completed in less than two weeks.
We need a lawyer to help us navigate this hellish situation. Unfortunately, the facts of a case don’t matter if they are not presented in the correct way. Any donations will go toward the cost of a family law attorney and paperwork/filing fees.
Please consider helping us keep Amelia and her family safe. She is truly a special child, endlessly loving and brilliant. The thought of losing her is unbearable.
