I am thrilled to share the positive news that my daughter, Shelly Gallagher, has undergone a successful kidney surgery on September 17th, after nearly two years of waiting. The total right radical nephrectomy was necessary to remove her diseased kidney, which was severely impacted by Systemic Lupus Erythematous (SLE) and chronic kidney disease. This milestone marks a significant step towards her recovery and renewed well-being.

Shelly has consistently demonstrated remarkable resilience, dedication, and perseverance. Despite the overwhelming challenges she has faced, including escalating medical expenses, living costs, and her inability to work due to her health, she remains committed to furthering her education at Valencia College. As she embarks on her estimated 8-week recovery journey, Shelly will need to take the upcoming semester off, and we are reaching out to ask for your support during this critical period.
