Please Help Xander And his Journey

Hi my name is Derek,

 

I am Xanders dad! Xander is currently in Sick Kids Hospital and has been for two weeks. Xander has a rare condition named: Clear Cell Meningioma of the Quadra Equada. Simply Xander has an extremely rare tumor engulfing his nerves and organs Xander is the first child case in Canada with a brain tumor growing in the fluid sac at the bottom of the spine. Xander was first diagnosed when he was 4yrs old. He under went two surgeries that where unsuccessful and left Xander partially paralyzed. We were sent to Florida, USA for Proton Radiation in 2013 and that put the tumor to sleep. Unfortunately it woke up a month ago aggressively at an alarming rate of 4x its size as Xander has Mris every 3 months for past 8 years. The tumor however is different this time and Xander went into surgery 5 days ago to remove what they could of the tumorwithout causing more complications for Xander who is 12 now. We are waiting for biopsy results to determine if Xander will receive Chemo or Radiation to battle his tumor. Possibly another trip to Florida for Proton again in which case Xander is Sedated for 90 days straight to recieve Proton Radiation. If the meningioma became invaded meaning turned to Cancer Xander will Start Chemo therapy with very serious risks involved. I am creating this fundraiser to raise funds to assist in medical transportation and accommodations. We are a family of five. I am Currently 2 hrs from my wife and son with my other 2 children as we could no longer afford to be with Xander as we used our rent for December to cover costs thus far and we haven't even started Christmas for our children. Any actual Christmas donation for my children are welcome if you reside in Kawartha Lakes! We are a loving family and known in our community. Mom works  in a retirement home and is currently off work due to Xander's illness and dad is disabled attending college. Xander can be followed on Facebook in a private group Admin approval!! Is FB group is Xander Townsends Journey. Our community has stepped up and helped offset our costs but we are behind in everything including having an accessible vehicle to transport Xander as he is now dependent on his wheelchair. Xanders Left leg is paralyzed and he is incontinence with his bladder and bowels. I am open to answering any questions any may have or any advice that may help our specialization.
