Please help us with Serena found with a fish hook!

Hello everyone,  I hope by now you all know who we are and what we do.  The Duck Pond has grown exponentially in the last year and we are at a population of over 200!  The word has gotten out to all the shelters and  Humane societies that we are now the only duck sanctuary in Southern California, unfortunately the other duck sanctuary in Los Angeles just closed its doors..

First I am looking for help with our newest resident,  Serena.  She is a female Pekin found at a park and been dumped there as an unwanted family member.  This last Saturday we received a call from a volunteer in San Diego that found her all alone with a fish hook embedded in her cheek and completely infected.  She got her to us Sunday morning and without any luck we tried to get it out of her mouth.  Fortunately we were able to get her in this morning for an emergency veterinarian visit and they were able to remove it and get her on an antibiotic regimen.   Unfortunately this took a good size bite out of our food budget.

We need your help in  supplying food and and improving our sanctuary for all these animals, and of course this veterinarian bills.

Unfortunately also, our pump for the pond went out during all of this and we now have an $800 water bill from have to change the pond so often.  We are now working on getting our 501c3, but with all things IRS,  it takes time and we need your help now.  Please help if you can, I do not want to close my doors to any duck that needs help, but it is getting overwhelming.  Thank you such for all of your support.
