Please help us visit my dying father

This is one of the hardest posts I will ever make.
Let me start from the beginning.
My father was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer nov. 20th 2017. The most aggressive form of brain cancer. Glioblastoma metaforme. We have done chemo and radiation, with little success. But for the most part he was awake, aware, and tried his hardest to be in good spirits.
He has lost his ability to walk and talk, but he is a fighter.
Last week he took a turn for the worst. He doesn’t get out of bed, and only eats once a day and even that is a fight. I think we are entering the beginning of the end. It breaks my heart. My dad is my hero.
The reason I am starting this is because I want to be with him as much as I can. The difficulty is that my father lives in Sudbury, and I, as well as my sister live in brantford. It’s a long drive and gas is expensive. I recently lost my business and money is very tight. I am working through temp agencies, but having to go back and forth, I am just not making enough. My sister is in the same boat.
I need to be with him in his last days. My heart hurts.
I have always believed in helping others, I’ve done fundraisers in the past for others in need. Now I’m asking for help and it’s a very difficult thing to do.
I know it’s a tough time of year for everyone. I’m not asking for gifts for my kids or frivolous materialistic things, just time with my father before he is gone. I don’t know how much time is left, but I want to be here as much as I can.
every little bit helps. Each trip up here is a minimum $150 in gas.
Every little bit helps my sister and I be with my father and care for him in his final days.
Thank you to all of you. I will pay it forward.
Merry Christmas
