PLEASE HELP US OPEN UP A NEW GYM DUE TO THE CLOSURE OF OURS !!!

This week we had the devastating news that Aspire Gymnastics Academy in Truro is closing. This is a gym that some of our children have been attending since it opened in 2010 and with over 500 members ranging from preschool, recreational, squad, trampoline, adult gym, they will all now be left without a local gymnastics centre.

This gym is not just about the sport, obviously it is a huge part, but it is also about making friendships with others that share the same passion and love. Lots of the gymnasts have made great friendships and bonds with not only other gymnasts but their coaches too and have learnt lots of life lessons as well as gymnastics skills.

Aspire Truro currently also has squad gymnasts in both Cornwall Squad and South West Squad and the gymnasts are really starting to progress within the region and it would be a huge shame for Cornwall to lose a gym.

There are many preschool gymnasts who were looking forwards to taking the big step to starting recreational classes once they start school in September, as well as our recreational gymnasts who were so excited to come back to classes with their friends after the holidays.

The coaches Bex and Dani really care about the children and are determined to reopen their own gym in Truro for all ages in the community.

This week they have secured the lease with the landlord however they will need to raise enough money to go towards gym equipment, rent and all other aspects of setting up a new gym.

As a group of parents who support their children in their hobbies and dreams and who have great faith in their gymnastics coaches, we are trying to raise enough money to help with the set up of a new gym, whether it be for new equipment or just to help put towards rent for premises to get things started.

Any help however large or small would be greatly appreciated by all of us so our children can continue doing what they love!
