We are expecting our first child any day now—our daughter is due on August 15th. At nine months pregnant, I’m focused on bringing our baby girl into the world safely and with love. Until recently, my fiancé and I shared the responsibility of supporting our growing family. I am currently unable to work full time and very suddenly, his income was cut nearly in half by child support payments to his ex, making it impossible for us to cover our monthly rent.

- I could go into labor any day now, and we urgently need a stable home to bring our daughter back to, at least until our lease is up in November, as we apply for low income housing.

Every dollar brings us one step closer to keeping a safe, loving home for our newborn. If we cannot raise this amount before our court date, we risk eviction—and the uncertainty and stress that comes with it––just as we prepare to welcome our baby.

We have reached out to every available program and charity—including DHHR, Catholic and Christian charities, and the Salvation Army—but we’ve exhausted every option. We’re at our wit’s end and need a community’s help. Your kindness will not only cover our rent; it will give our little girl her first home.
