<div>My name is Karla, and I am the oldest of four daughters. My family and I are reaching out during one of the hardest and most heartbreaking moments of our lives. We are still in shock, trying to take things one step at a time, even though this is a process none of us feel strong enough to navigate. But it must be done …for her.

<div>We received an SOS text and verified her iPhone location, and in that moment our entire world changed. This loss is completely unexpected. You grow up thinking there will always be time, time to save, time to prepare, time to watch each other grow old. But she was only 21 years old the second to youngest. Her life was cut short long before it ever should have been.

<div>She was not doing anything wrong. She was not a bad person. She had a pure, generous heart, a heart that was bigger than she ever realized. She was a passenger when the driver lost control after hitting an elevation in the road. The car flipped, began to smoke, and then caught fire.. The hardest part for us is knowing that she didn’t deserve to leave this world this way. We can’t help but question why more wasn’t done to save her, and it breaks us knowing we cannot even see her one last time because her injuries were too severe. All we can hope, all we pray… is that she passed on impact and did not feel pain.

<div>We are raising funds to help cover the costs of a funeral viewing, cremation, and a burial marker so she can be laid to rest with dignity, peace, and respect. The financial burden is overwhelming, especially in the middle of such deep grief.

<div>If it were up to us, we would keep things private and intimate but that would not honor who she was. Out of the four of us, she was the most outgoing, the most social, the silliest, the one with the biggest personality and the most friends. She loved people. She always tried to make others laugh with her dark humor, her memes, her endless funny stickers. She gave everything she had, even when she had little to give. She helped strangers, uplifted friends, and loved hard.

<div>Stephanie lived life with an energy that was impossible to ignore. She loved staying active, always working out, always moving, always taking care of her body. She enjoyed food just as much, and she made it fun. Her smile, her laugh, her silly moments… she brought life into every room she entered.

<div>And her pictures, those were their own world. She made the funniest faces when taking selfies, the ones that instantly made us laugh no matter how bad the day was. She also had an incredible gift for capturing moments. She could take a picture at exactly the right second, turning ordinary memories into something beautiful. She noticed the little things, the details, the emotions and she preserved them with her camera. In so many ways, she helped us see life more clearly.

<div>And of course, one of the biggest parts of her heart was soccer. Anything that involved her feet and a ball was her safe place. She practiced in the backyard for hours, even when no one was watching always pushing herself, perfecting her moves, losing herself in the joy of the sport. She would go to the park at night with her friends just to play, vent, and feel free. Even after high school, she didn’t stop. She was planning to teach my son some of her moves. She loved him deeply.

<div>She was so freaking beautiful inside and out. A true hustler with an incredible work ethic. Once she set her mind on something, she got it. She worked hard for everything she had, but she was just as quick to spend her last dollar on someone else without ever expecting anything in return. She had her sweet little obsessions like Lilo and Stitch , anime and her collections of clothes and decorations made her space feel alive and uniquely hers.

<div>More than anything, she dreamed of the simple things: a family, kids of her own, stability, love. We were all so excited to see the person she would become and the mother, the partner, the woman she wanted to be. But she never got that chance.

<div>The truth is… I could write a whole book about my sister and still not cover even a fingernail of who she truly was. She was that amazing. Her presence, her humor, her kindness, her strength. She brought something irreplaceable into our lives. Something that words can barely touch.

<div>We are devastated. We are trying to stay strong, but this is a pain no family is prepared for. If you feel called to donate, share, or simply pray for us, we are deeply grateful. Every act of kindness is helping us give her the farewell she deserves and helping us carry a piece of this unbearable weight.

Iba como pasajera cuando el conductor perdió el control tras golpear una elevación en la carretera. El auto volcó, comenzó a humear y luego se incendió. La parte más difícil para nosotros es saber que ella no merecía dejar este mundo de esta manera. No podemos evitar preguntarnos por qué no se hizo más para salvarla, y nos rompe el alma saber que ni siquiera podemos verla por última vez porque sus heridas fueron demasiado graves. Todo lo que esperamos, todo lo que oramos… es que haya fallecido al impacto y no haya sentido dolor.

<div>Si fuera por nosotros, mantendríamos todo privado e íntimo, pero eso no honraría quién era ella. De las cuatro, ella era la más extrovertida, la más social, la más chistosa, la de mayor personalidad y la que tenía más amigos. Amaba a la gente. Siempre intentaba hacer reír a los demás con su humor oscuro, sus memes, sus stickers divertidos. Daba todo lo que tenía, incluso cuando tenía poco. Ayudaba a desconocidos, levantaba a sus amigos y amaba intensamente.

<div>Stephanie vivía con una energía imposible de ignorar. Le encantaba mantenerse activa, siempre haciendo ejercicio, siempre moviéndose, siempre cuidando su cuerpo. Disfrutaba la comida igual, y la hacía divertida. Su sonrisa, su risa, sus momentos de locura… ella llenaba de vida cada lugar al que entraba.

<div>Y sus fotos… esas eran su propio mundo. Hacía las caras más chistosas cuando se tomaba selfies, esas que nos hacían reír sin importar qué tan mal hubiera sido el día. También tenía un don increíble para capturar momentos. Podía tomar una foto en el segundo exacto, convirtiendo recuerdos ordinarios en algo hermoso. Notaba las pequeñas cosas, los detalles, las emociones, y las preservaba con su cámara. En tantos sentidos, ella nos ayudó a ver la vida con más claridad.

<div>Y por supuesto, una de las partes más grandes de su corazón era el fútbol. Cualquier cosa que involucrara sus pies y un balón era su lugar seguro. Practicaba en el patio por horas, incluso cuando nadie la veía, siempre esforzándose, perfeccionando sus movimientos, perdiéndose en la alegría del deporte. Iba al parque en la noche con sus amigos solo para jugar, desahogarse y sentirse libre. Incluso después de la preparatoria, nunca dejó de jugar. Estaba planeando enseñarle a mi hijo algunos de sus movimientos. Lo amaba profundamente.

<div>Ella era tan increíblemente hermosa por dentro y por fuera. Una verdadera guerrera con una ética de trabajo admirable. Una vez que se proponía algo, lo lograba. Trabajaba duro por todo lo que tenía, pero con la misma rapidez gastaba su último dólar en otra persona sin esperar nada a cambio. Tenía sus dulces obsesiones como Lilo y Stitch, el anime, y sus colecciones de ropa y decoraciones que hacían que su espacio se sintiera vivo y completamente suyo.

<div>Más que nada, ella soñaba con cosas sencillas: una familia, hijos propios, estabilidad, amor. Todos estábamos tan emocionados de ver en quién se convertiría y la madre, la pareja, la mujer que deseaba ser. Pero nunca tuvo esa oportunidad.

<div>La verdad es que… podría escribir un libro entero sobre mi hermana y aun así no cubrir ni la uña de quién fue realmente. Era así de increíble. Su presencia, su humor, su bondad, su fortaleza. Ella trajo algo irremplazable a nuestras vidas. Algo que las palabras apenas pueden tocar.

<div>Estamos devastados. Tratamos de mantenernos fuertes, pero este es un dolor para el que ninguna familia está preparada. Si sientes en tu corazón donar, compartir o simplemente orar por nosotros, estamos profundamente agradecidos.
