Robert “Billy” Baxter
Billy was tragically taken from us on Monday the 3rd Sept 2018 while Paddle Boarding at Salmon Hole in the Daly Head National Surfing Reserve on Yorke Peninsula.
He leaves behind his lifelong partner Jane.
Billy’s life, side by side with Jane, revolved around those he loved and the causes that were most dear to them both which included strong ties and dedication to The Formby Bay Environmental Action Group, The Daly Head National Surfing Reserve, The Great Australian Bight Alliance, Surfarama, The Wilderness Society and the Marion Bay Progress Association to name just a few.
His energy has been limitless.
Billy has been a warrior for conservation and protecting our coast, always a fierce defender for our oceans through his love of surfing and fishing, and an energetic community man who has given so much.
A dolphin whisperer who was a gentle man with a huge heart, a kind man who mentored our children, and a talented man who worked magic with wood and who has left a tangible legacy of his skills in our communities and along our coast.
This fund is being setup solely to help support Jane through this difficult time and all funds will go directly to her so we may all help her, in some small way, because Billy would want us to.
