Please help us cover funeral costs for Dimitri

I’m Connor, I’ve consistently been around Dimitri & part of their family for the past 4 years. I’m making this so the family doesn’t have to.

Dimitri was reported missing to JSO 30 minutes after he left a suicide note, stole a gun, & started walking on foot after googling the least painful spot to shoot your self. No alerts were put out. They seemingly didn’t search very well since he walked straight down Edgewood where he was caught on dash cam an hour later but the person didn’t stop since no alert was put out. He walked straight to the water & did what the note said he’d do. What JSO knew he was going to do based off the note & google searches. His siblings spent 6 days walking around downtown, riverside, everywhere from 9am-5am every day. They spoke to many homeless people, followed many leads while JSO did little to nothing. His family spent thousands in flyers, it took his sister’s Tiktok video going viral for them to really start helping. Before the video, every officer they stopped had no idea what they were talking about or were rude to them. 6 days. 6 days of them wandering sketchy areas hoping to find their autistic 17 year old brother. 6 days, 4 nights he sat in the water to the point they needed to identify him from dental records. They told them in the middle of the day on the 6th day after they were out looking again. Someone who wouldn’t know how to survive on the streets yet JSO decided he was a “runaway” despite his note & him stealing a gun. If an alert went out right when they found out maybe he could’ve been saved or the very least his family wouldn’t have spent all those days searching to find him, being attacked by people in the areas they were in, hoping to see him walking, following all the leads they got. As soon as JSO did actually search, they found him in the water where the dash footage was taken. That was Sunday. He went missing at 1AM on Thursday. JSO never posted about it on their Facebook page but you know what they did post about? Saving a kitten.

Dimitri was a smart sweet boy. He loved fantasy games and books. He didn’t watch much TV because he loved reading. He liked the beach. He loved his long curly black hair. He loved league of legends. He has an 8 year old niece who’s never known a life without him that he was very close to. He’d sit and play barbies with her for hours. He has a younger sister who’s never known a life without him who was at the hospital for a car accident at the moment he decided to do this. He has older siblings that he always spent time with & stayed with for weeks on end doing puzzles, adventuring. They watched him grow up, they can remember their mother pregnant with him, they remember every step of his life until now. He was so smart. He didn’t deserve this. There needs to be better protocols for the mentally ill especially when they’re a MINOR. None of this should’ve happened. Please help his family.

He was loved but if you know anything about depression then you know it tells you that you aren’t. He had a whole life ahead of time that would’ve told him things get better.
