He Ain't Heavy
Was established by Joseph and Ciaran Clifford (Brothers) to raise awareness for social inclusion, those with intellectual disabilities and to raise funds for Sunbeam House Services.
Ciaran Clifford suffered a traumatic brain injury at birth and suffers from physical and severe intellectual disabilities.
As boys, Joseph ran with Ciaran in his pram around the
neighbourhood. As teenagers, we used a special chair for 5 and 10k's. Today a custom designed chair for half marathons and marathons.
To date, they have run 4 marathons, 16 half
marathons, and numerous races from 5k's to 10k's
all over Ireland and Europes fastest marathon in
Berlin 2015.
The reason? their love for each other as brothers and to
raise awareness for those with intellectual disabilities. Highlighting the importance of social inclusion.
But most of all, because they love running. Please follow
our journey to the Dublin Marathon 2017 on our Facebook Page He Ain't Heavy and help
us raise money for a new Para Bus to provide transport for those with similar disabilities in Ciarans House 'Dunaven'.
