Please help us build a sensory area for SEN children

Hi my name is Anna and as many of you know I have a son(James) with special educational needs.
James has had a very traumatic start to his school life both in nursery and mainstream school because he just didn’t fit in, we are currently waiting for assessments for asd, adhd and pda.

James has finally started at Bromley Trust Academy. This is a temporary placement that basically resets children and helps them deal with their struggles and fit back in to school life, wether it will be back at their current school or in a more suitable setting.

This School is an absolute necessity for children like James as it really helps them cope better with their emotions and realise that it’s ok to feel the way they do. Anyway enough waffling this school has no money, all the funding from any ehcp goes to the school that they came from. I couldn’t beleive what I was hearing! The teachers pay for any decoration or extra things the kids need!!

I would really like to raise some money I have attached pictures of the so called sensory room, the out side play area, also there is broken fencing in the key stage 1 play area that they have no money to fix.

I and the teachers would be so grateful if anyone could donate, bubble tubes and sensory lighting cost hundreds of pounds and some extra sensory things for the outside play area is a must for the children that attend this setting.

thank you so much for reading
