Please help Toddler with Type 1!

Donation protected
Cayden is 3 years old and was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes about a year ago. He has been in and out of the hospital since then because his diabetes has been uncontrollable! He is currently getting about 7 shots a day (others as needed) to try to manage this, but more help is needed!

We are hoping to get him setup with a service dog that will be able to notify him or his parents some times up to 30 minutes earlier than when they would get notified from the machine that is constantly monitoring on him. This would be LIFE SAVING as sometimes its almost too late of a notice from the machine to try and give him meds to get his sugars back up!

His mom (and dad) is constantly measuring food, having to read labels to count carbs and sugars (even in the grocery store) to see what she can or cant give him, COUNTLESS hours of training to help him with Diabetes, COUNTLESS hours of regular doctor visits, to where its also putting a huge damper on her job as a rehabilitation therapist! COUNTLESS HOURS of no sleep for mom (and dad).

So if you could please help the Schweiss' to make their Diabetes lifestyle a bit easier, that would be such a big help! (Mom would never ask because she is one to not bother people with her family's problems and feels she doesnt deserve it! However I know she maybe gets about an hour or so (sometimes not even that) of sleep every night because she is constantly monitoring his numbers to make sure he doesnt go into a random shock in the middle of the night. ) :( Even a dollar can help if you are able! Thank you so very much!

For those who dont know about Type 1 Diabetes:You can’t live without insulin. If you have type 1 diabetes, your body doesn’t make enough of it. If you have type 2, your body can’t use it properly.

There is NO connection between weight and Type 1.

IT has no known cause no cure. It is an autoimmune disease in which the body attacks the insulin producing beta cells in the pancreas. Without insulin, sugar stays in the blood and can cause serious damage ti organ systems

T1D is NOT: a lifestyle disease (change eating habits, etc), something you outgrow (he will have his whole life), contagious, caused by too much sugar, preventable...

What affects blood sugars: big meals, not enough sleep (how do you really know how much you Should get?), dehydration, sports, incorrect carb counting all food (healthy or not), stress, holidays, dining out, hormones, peer pressure, sweets, inconsistent schedule, nerves, too much sleep, other meds, illness, eating too much, parties, exercise, emotional situations, not dosing enough or over dosing insulin for a meal, etc...

This is just ONE night of sugar levels for Cayden...
Just 3 MONTHS of supplies for him...
We know hes a fighter and tries to do the best he can with his disease.. Just praying we can make it a little easier for him! :) <3 <3 Thank you!
