Mum had a big operation in February, which was supposed to help her situation of cervical cancer.  She suffered in silence, and we had no idea how ill she really was.

After losing her home during hurricane Maria, and the trauma of it all, along with the seriousness of her illness which was unknown by the family, it was decided that we should bring her here (to Europe) to get away from the distress.

Her sister and family in England was longing to see her, so they too helped get her to England to spend some time with them. During her two week stay in England, she became ill. By the time she got to Holland she got worse, had to be hospitalized, and succumbed to her pain and suffering.

Moms family loves her, and she means the world to us. Since she was hospitalized for ten days, plus all her Medical Care and Treatments have to be paid for, I have decided to start a “’gofundme”’ to help cover the hefty cost.

Cremation is the only option open to us due to all the costs we have to consider.  It will cost approximately 4000 Euros. This needs to be done as soon as possible, to avoid extra costs, then her ashes will be saved, and sent to Dominica, so family there will be able to pay their last respects, and have a funeral there for her too.

The medical costs for her 10 days in hospital including medical care / treatment are not included in the 4000 Euros quoted above.
