Hello, thank you for taking the time to read this.
This is Naser. Selfless, kind, funny, and someone who would move mountains for us even when we met just last year. Naser became a new manager at Din Tai Fung Washington Square in 2022. Immediately, we knew this is someone we would cherish very much. This is a man of many amazing stories and great compassion for those around him.
During the summer, Naser started to display symptoms at work that were of concern. We encouraged him to see his doctor but just getting examined was a tough process already. He later found out his previous brain tumor from 10 years ago is aggressively growing again. He started to display weakness in his hands and would often eat alone at work in the supply closet so we would not see him struggle.
Naser will need 2 surgeries to remove his tumor. The 1st one is December 28th, and the 2nd one will be January 2nd, 2024. He is the main caretaker for his family's finances. His family includes his wife, Lama, and their two sons, Kusai and Noor. His eldest son is a student at OSU and the youngest is a senior in highschool.
Naser has a long 4 months of recovery ahead of him. Post surgery, we are uncertain of his recovery but we are hoping he will be healthy and able to come back to us in March. The stress he is going through during this time and worrying about what's next is unimaginable. Among his medical bills, he stresses about losing his house and worrying how he will financially support his children’s education during the time he is on leave.
To help with his recovery process we would like to support his family financially so that he can focus on getting better. Any donations are greatly appreciated to support Naser and his family during this time.We could not imagine how scary and overwhelming this time is for Naser and we hope that any support could give him and his family some peace.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Jessie, James, Itzy, Patrick, and Todd.
