<div>Why I Need Your Help

<div>On May 1st, 2025, my life changed overnight. I went to the ER with severe abdominal pain, expecting a simple diagnosis. Instead, I entered a whirlwind of tests, hospital stays, and terrifying uncertainty.

<div>By early June, I underwent a major abdominal surgery that included heated chemotherapy to treat what doctors found inside. Recovery was long and painful, and in July, I received the news no one is ever prepared for — the growth was malignant. Soon after, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 (but treatable) cancer.

<div>Since then, it’s been one setback after another. My incision struggled to heal, I developed severe gastrointestinal issues and blood clots, and just before starting treatment, a new CT scan revealed a hernia. On September 25th, I underwent a second major surgery, using the same incision as before — another major blow that once again delayed my life-saving chemotherapy.

<div>Before this medical crisis, I had left a toxic job and was actively searching for new work. Now, my health prevents me from working entirely. I’ve exhausted my 401k and savings, lost unemployment benefits, and borrowed what I could from family. I’m now out of options.

<div>Adding to the heartbreak, I had to surrender my two beloved cats, Henrietta and Shelby, when recovery stretched far longer than expected. Their absence is another loss I feel deeply every day.
