I have never done a GoFundMe account but couldn't think of a better way to help this wonderful family out.
One of Kylie's best friends and NC Spark Catcher, Hunter Balog, was involved in a life altering ATV accident on March 17th. This accident caused a compound fracture in her arm and hand and severed the tendons in her hand beyond repair and as expected, a great deal of road rash.
So far, she has gone through a skin graft, moving skin from her leg to her arm, and had a very long surgery to debride her arm and relocate her tendons from below her wrist to the top of her wrist, in order to regain function of her fingers. She has been in and out of PICU and has been in a lot of pain. She will also have to go back in the Summer for a bone graft. Hopefully she is getting out of the hospital today (3.29) but will require at least 2-3 years of treatment and Physical Therapy.
There have been so many people asking to help, and this will undoubtedly be a financial burden, so figured this would be the easiest avenue to provide some relief to this sweet family. Just the amount of co-pays over the next few years will be substantial.
