Dear Friends,

Our dear friend Shirlene McLean and her husband, Cec, are facing one of the most challenging periods of their lives, and we’re reaching out for your support to help them through it.

Cec’s health has had some serious setbacks in the last couple of years. In 2023, he suffered a stroke, and recently, he was diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer. He’s also managing diabetes, which has added further complications to his condition. Cec has undergone radiation therapy and is currently in the middle of chemotherapy, requiring frequent hospital visits and expensive treatments, medicines and medical devices.

These health challenges have taken a tremendous toll on their lives. Cec has been unable to work, and Shirlene, as his full-time caregiver, has also had to stop working. This has left them struggling to manage not only medical expenses but also day-to-day living costs.

The funds we raise will go directly toward:

- **Medical expenses**: chemotherapy, medications, and necessary healthcare treatments/devices.

- **Travel costs**: transportation for frequent trips to and from the hospital and treatment centers.

- **Rent and utilities**: to ensure they can stay in their home during this difficult time.

- **Daily living expenses**: groceries, bills, and other essentials.

Shirlene and Cec are two of the kindest and most generous people you could meet—they’ve always been there for others. Now, they need our love and support more than ever.

We’ve started this GoFundMe to help alleviate the overwhelming financial burden they’re carrying so they can focus on Cec’s health and well-being. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference in their lives.
