Let me introduce you to my dear friend Teresa. I met her about 9 years ago when she was managing a jewelry store in the mall. I ended up buying all of my jewelry from her over the years and got to know her. Some people you just connect with. She is one of those people. She has an energy about her and is always positive. She has a zest and passion for life and others.
In March of 2012, she was diagnosed with stage 3B ovarian cancer and was given 5 years to live. She went through 4 months of chemo and was in remission for almost 4 years. It came back in March of 2016 for the 2nd time. She went through intensive hard-core chemo again for 4 months and stayed in remission for another year. Now it is back for a 3rd time.
Even with insurance, medical bills can be a burden. Teresa is a fighter. She is one of the strongest people I know. She's continued to work through all of her treatments and has been trying to pay down her medical bills which have accumulated to over $90,000.00. (after insurance). The problem with insurance is that they only cover part of the bills for the "accepted" plan of treatment, which is chemotherapy. It's not that the chemo hasn't worked. The cancer had just been stronger.
Teresa has found a homeopathic oncologist near her home who has saved and cured cancer with an 85% success rate. He showed her her blood under a microscope and was shocked to see the amount of white blood cells she has. He said he hardly ever sees that in someone who has gone through chemo.
