Please Help Save My Dog Millie.

Millie is my 8 Year old Basset Hound. Millie is a Theripet with Animal Friends and until recently was a regular volunteer. She could also be found at Reading with Rovers a program that helps children learn to read. On Dec. 28th of last year, Millie had her first seizure. It was a terrifying experience for all of us. She temporarily lost her ability to walk and see because of nystagmus.
Our Vet sent us home with doggy Motion Sickness pills and said all would be well. Millie slowly began to regain her balance and sight so we thought it might just be a freak one time thing.
14 days later, after making a full recovery Millie had her second seizure. Unsatisfied with our original Diagnosis we decided to get a Second opinion. After explaining our concerns to the new Doctor, She found an abnormal growth in Millie's ear canal. It's an abscess that is pressing on her brain and eye. The abscess is most likely what is causing her seizures, it also makes it too painful for her to open her mouth and she is losing weight fast. After meting with the Surgeon she assures us the right course of action is to remove Millies ear canal entirely.
This is where we need help. The estimates given total at a Maximum of $6,350.00. The best case scenario is that the Abscess can all be found with an MRI and wont also need a CT saving us about $2000.00. Sadly we cant come up with this money soon enough. Doctors want to do this as soon as possible and we are trying to get financing but it wont be enough. Please, I'm not one to beg but, I don't know what else to do and we need help. Millie is the source of joy for so many people and she needs this operation to live. If you can find any small amount you can spare to help it will be greatly appreciated. If I can find a way to pay everybody back I will gladly do so. We just need to take care of this now before it gets worse. I'm not good at this sort of thing so if this sounds strange it's because I'm not used to asking the public for help.

I know in the past I have helped others on GoFundMe with their pet bills and sometimes there was success. It's what gave me the Idea to do this.
