UPDATE, MERLIN IS GETTING HER SURGERY. The pricing has, however, changed. Due to her health she will need a full day before and after her surgery with fluids and antibiotics to ensure optimal survival. Hello Everyone.
This is Merlin, and Merlin desperately needs your help.
You see, we rescued her 3 weeks ago from people who weren’t too kind and didn’t know how to care for her. She has two severe intestinal blockages which are caused by improper care. Merlin also has a stone blocking her Cloacae which is her equivalent of an anus. This means she is unable to pass the stones and will likely without the removal of the cloacae stone die a slow and painful death.
She has a chance though, with the help of some amazing people in my tortoise forum I found a specialist that can save Merlin’s life. We just can not afford it. Look I know we are in the middle of a pandemic and money is tight, but we have run out of the funds to save this turtle and we need help. We are asking for a donation of $5 because for one person that’s nothing but eventually, a bunch of $5’s could save this turtles life. I love her dearly and would be heartbroken if I can’t push through the last leg of this fight. I have advocated for this turtle and finally after countless days of trying to find the right specialist, I have found some hope. Please help me save her life. The doctor who can save her says she has two weeks to live without the surgery and that time would be full of suffering. Merlin is a 2-3-year-old sweet little girl who does not deserve to die this way. If you help me save Merlin, we promise to give her the best life and she will be loved for decades.
