<div>Hi my Name is Tori and I’m starting this Go Fund my friend Melissa . Last Monday the 19th Ryan (Melissa’s son ) had to be picked up from school early. Thinking it was a stomach bug they headed home . Ryan then woke up at 4pm screaming in pain . She rushed him to Northern Dutchess Hospital where he underwent test after test. He was diagnosed with colitis given antibiotics and sent home . Tuesday night he started running a fever and had blood in his stool early morning on Wednesday. Melissa rushed Ryan up to Albany Childrens hospital where they have been ever since. After a full week of Melissa telling them she thought it was appendicitis . On May 28th she had enough . She said we ruled out crohns because they wanted to . She wanted the exploratory  laparotomy done to look at his appendix from the inside . 20 mins later she finally said ok. Half hour before they took him in they came into to tell me that they will restate that they don’t think it is the appendix but they will look for other damage. He was taken in and they instantly saw that the appendix had ruptured. They had to scrap the side wall of his stomach because the fatty lining of his stomach went into action and plug the hole like if you were to put pressure on a bleed . When it did that it plastered to the stomach lining. The fact that they let her baby sit there in agony for a week is disturbing. That being said Melissa has been out of work over a week with no discharge date set. Because of the rupture he needs IV antibiotics. I’m trying to raise alittle money to help relieve some stress off her shoulders. She has enough of that already . As a mother that has been through the situation many times not exactly this scenario but many times hospitalized it is not easy and it takes a huge toll on everybody involved .
