Hello there! I'm Rodrigo but most people call me my nickname, "Rod"! I was born and raised in El Paso where I live with my parents and two brothers. I am currently attending Coronado High School where I participate in a variety of extracurriculars listed below. When I am not working on schoolwork or participating in a sport, you can find me enjoying the outdoors, working out, reading a book, watching a movie or show, playing video games, or hanging out with family and friends! In the summers I usually work. I have recently been admitted to Cornell University and will be attending the Industrial-Labor Relations school in the coming fall. I was accepted under the Early-Decision wave of applicants. I chose the major as it is an opportunity to pursue my interests in a variety of fields such as business, law, conflict resolution, and other interesting subjects such as psychology. I plan to concentrate more on the business and finance side. With my education, I hope to one day be able to manage and lead an organization that seeks to make a positive impact in the world. Whether that be a Non Profit, a business, or some sort of government position I know that the Industrial-Labor Relations major will prepare me immensely. After college, I plan to serve in the United States Air Force as a commissioned officer as I will be participating in ROTC. My ambition is to become a Combat Rescue Officer and work towards ensuring our servicemembers come home safely to their families.
