Please help Rhonan beat brain cancer
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Cali and I am putting this
donation together for my dear friend and co worker.
Just a little over a month ago Sara Malpass-Willeys daughter, Rhonan, was diagnosed with a rare optic brain tumor, a BRAFv600E gangliaglioma. She had just turned 16 2 months ago.
Sara brought Rhonan to get her eyes checked and get glasses. The optometrist found Rhonan had lost all her focus in her right eye and she had also been having headaches so to the pediatric optometrist, to a neurologist, to an MRI and immediately back to the neurologist where Sara and Rhonan were shown the mass. She went on to have brain surgery for a biopsy of the tumor.
Rhonan is still recovering from the surgery and found she is 1/10 people in the world with the rare type of brain tumor. Because the cancer is connected to her optic nerves the Dr's will not be performing anymore surgeries. If they try to remove it she will go permanently blind.
Sara and Rhonan will be very soon spending Monday-Friday for 7 weeks in NYC for a new technology treatment called proton therepy so to shrink the tumor as much as possible without further depleting her vision.
Please help Rhonan as she goes through radiation and treatment so she may recover as quickly as possible any donations will be used for accommodations, transportation, food, etc. Any donations left over after Rhonan is healthy again will go to Rhonans College fund, and are so much appreciated.
Thank you all ❤️
