Some background on our mom, Pearl Gregory, to start with.
Twelve years ago she and her husband were uprooted overnight to seek cancer treatment for her husband, who was diagnosed with Burkitts Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He was seen at UCH and was treated from 2007-2011. Our mom stuck by his side and saw things through until he was in remission. She took him to the doctor, hospital for infusions, worked nights to make a living and went to school for her Medical Assisting certificate. In June of 2011 they relocated back to Montrose where our mom was fortunate to find employment with (at that time) Internal Medicine Specialist Group (currently known as Cedar Point Health). She and her husband have since divorced, but remain friends.
In January of 2016, she underwent a kidney transplant, due to a congenital unilateral kidney (Stage lll Kidney Disease) at Porter Adventist Hospital, and was in Denver for a month for follow up treatment. She has done well with her transplant and considers herself blessed to still work at Cedar Point Health, now as Supervisor in Medical Records.
Our mom was recently diagnosed with Stage ll breast cancer and will be undergoing surgery and treatment in the coming weeks/months. Our family asks that you consider helping her with medical bills, treatment and anything else she may need assistance with. Although she is lucky to have health insurance, this, as you all probably know, doesn't cover all expenses. Our family would be truly indebted to you for any help you can give.
