Please help pay our vet bills for Lola

Sweet Lola pony has served as an assisted equine learning horse for the past year with Herd Together (Horses Helping Humans) in Caboolture. Early in September, she suffered a severe episode of “choke”, a life-threatening condition, receiving two lots of emergency veterinary care, one after hours.

Despite taking the best veterinary precautions and care in the week that followed, she now has pneumonia, requiring twice daily veterinary visits for intravenous antibiotics and pain relief. Thankfully, she twice narrowly missed transportation to the emergency equine hospital, but her bills have been escalating rapidly. We have already paid out $1600 for veterinary bills with more to come this week. Lola is less than 20 years old, has a long life of helping others ahead of her, and has a string of clients who love her.

Herd Together Inc. is a registered charity with tax-deductable status with the ATO.

We are asking for donations to pay her vet bills. Any surplus will go straight into our charity for future care of horses, who provide service to children and adults alike. Thank you for your help—big or small, it all counts!
