Please help save Logan

Dear lovely people who may help save my family

Logan was only 7 years when he was diagnosed with a life threatening rare illness called Fanconi Anaemia. This is a rare genetic disease where the bone marrow is essentially going into failure among other things.  Among those affected, the majority develop cancer, most often acute myelogenous leukemia, and 90% develop bone marrow failure (the inability to produce blood cells). The current life expectancy is 33 years old due to the high risk of other cancers such as head and neck, esophageal, gastrointestinal, vulvar and anal cancers.

This has turned our whole world upside down and how we live our daily lives. 

Our Ancestral visa does not allow access to any public funds so what myself and Logan's Daddy earn is what we have to live on and pay for any and all expenses, saving has not been possible. I have had to give up full time, more paying jobs due to having to look after my son in the times he has been hospitalised and all his appointments. He is doing very well at the moment and we are extremely grateful for that and for the support and care he is receiving from the NHS.

Logan is such a wonderful child, he has a heart of gold and the most caring nature. He loves to laugh and giggle and always wants to be tickled. I live for my cuddles and love that my sweet boy gives me and cannot comprehend a life without him in it. He is my ray of sunshine, always thinking of others. He is strong and such a worrior in the face of such unfairness. I have to save my son no matter what it takes.

Logan will not survive if we are sent back to South Africa, the cost of medical care is horrendous and having a rare disease makes that care unattainable. The risk of him dying will rise higher than my poor boy is at now. 

We have to raise these funds to make sure that Logan lives and that we can be a family and give him the support he needs by being able to stay in England and receive ILR after pur visa expires next year in the country that has become our home these last 4 years. These funds will make that happen and save his life.
