Please help our darling Bronnie

Bronnie is an incredible mother, grandmother, sister and daughter who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer  2 years ago and was given a 30% chance of surviving the year. She underwent a distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy surgery in March 2017 followed by one round of chemo however had an allergic reaction to the steroid component and was unable to proceed. For a year there was no evidence of the cancer, however, in March this year we were burdened with the news that the cancer had spread to the liver. Stage 4 metastatic cancer with surgery not an option and was referred to palliative (end of life) care.  The news came as a complete shock to those close to her, but nevertheless Bronnie has taken it in her stride and has been fighting hard ever since. Unable to tolerate chemo due to an allergic reaction, Bronnie has been courageously forging her own healing path with support from various practitioners and medical specialists. She has been defying the odds and thankfully is still with us. "Whatever you are doing...keep doing it!" said the Palliative Care Nurse. Her Palliative Care Social Worker said she is looking better since she first met her! Bronnie has a busy schedule of medical appointments and treatments to ensure she keeps healthy every single day such as oxygen therapy, acupuncture, a strict diet  that includes organic juices , psychologist sessions and many other natural therapies that could start to cost more than $800 per week. This is not including normal everyday living expenses. As she is living off the pension due to being sick this just isn’t possible.The thought of not having her around to watch her current and future grandchildren grow, watch us getting married one day or just simply be by our side tears our heart to shreds.
