Hi, my name is Libbie and I’m fundraising for our 2-year-old Vizsla, Rufus. He’s currently in ICU at Wear Referrals after suddenly becoming very unwell.

What started as sneezing and a runny nose quickly turned serious. Within a day, Rufus became extremely lethargic, couldn’t lower his head, and was clearly in pain. After an emergency vet visit and a day of rapid decline, he was referred to ICU with suspected meningitis.

Thankfully, he’s now stable and showing signs of improvement—but vets still don’t know what’s wrong. They’re considering CT scans and a nasal scope to look for a possible blockage, and the costs are quickly adding up.

We’re doing everything we can to help him, but we need support. If you can donate anything at all, it would mean the world to us and to Rufus. Due to a previous illness last October, our insurance only covers us for £2700, but we have been quoted £6,000. If he requires surgery it could be around £9,000.
