Please help Orest and his family!!

URGENT HELP NEEDED!!!

 

Our dear friend Orest, his wife and 10 others have been involved in an explosion in the Carpathian Mountains (Ukraine).

 They were camping together. They started a fire to keep warm, in a place where many other campers had started a fire previously. Suddenly, there was an explosion that came from the ground underneath the fire - it is currently unclear what caused the explosion but it is thought to have been caused by an undetonated WW2 mine or bomb.

 

Tragically, two guys from the group died from the impact of the explosion.

 

Orest’s wife has been seriously injured from the explosion. She has lost one eye and it is still unclear whether the other eye has survived. One of her arms was completely damaged from the explosion. She has just gone through a major surgery where the doctors tried to stitch up her arm back in place. It will be more obvious how successful the surgery was in the next few days. They are currently in hospital in Ukraine and will need an extensive treatment including medication, physiotherapy, psychotherapy and also help with the care for their children at this time. They desperately need your help.

 Access to healthcare in Ukraine is very expensive and it is a very different system to the UK’s NHS.
