Hi friends and family,

I’m writing this with a heavy heart because our sweet Nova is going through a very tough time. I met my baby about 4 months ago when i was inquiring about the possibility of getting a furry friend and was informed by our local shelter there was a 8week old puppy  left outside in 33° weather in a busy parking lot. That same day i left work and me and my boyfriend went to get our baby. Nova has brought us so much joy already and she fills our heart as if she was our child. she’s such a playful girl who loves other ppl as well as dogs and what she’s dealing with now is keeping her from being the happy playful girl she wants to be.

Unfortunately Nova has been extremely sick for nearly 48 hours now, vomiting, lethargic, and unwilling to eat or drink. We rushed her to the vet, worried something serious might be going on. During her appointment, the vet felt something abnormal in her intestine and decided we should do X-rays to get a clearer picture. From the imaging, it’s very likely there is a foreign object lodged in her intestine. To be sure, we need to bring her back in tomorrow for additional X-rays. If the follow-up imaging confirms a blockage, Nova will need emergency surgery immediately, which is expected to cost around $5,000.

Nova isn’t just a pet to us; she’s a part of our family. She brings us so much happiness, love, and companionship every single day, and we want to do everything we can to save her. But the cost of this procedure is overwhelming, and we’re asking for help from anyone who’s able. Whatever amount you can contribute will make a huge difference in getting Nova the care she needs.

Update 6/15/25 :

Nova is getting through, still very sick and hasn’t eaten in over 72 hours, we weren’t able to get the x-rays today due to costs, but

 we’re taking it by ear right now and were instructed to monitor her closely, please continue to pray for our baby. ❤️

Update 6/16/2025 : 

Nova is still not able to hold anything down and they’re wanting to do more emergency x-rays asap, please even if it’s just a few dollars, it makes the biggest difference, please help our baby get better. ❤️
