She lives alone and doesn’t have a partner to help support her in life. She’s been through a lot the past few years. She lost her home and she’s had a lot of health problems that have made life a huge struggle.

She has a place to live thankfully and a job to go back to but of course our system is very broken and she can’t get any sort of assistance financially. She didn’t fall on the job, she doesn’t qualify for disability because she’s been out of work for 3 months and not a year and because of her injury she doesn’t qualify for unemployment. 

For the last 3 months she’s had some help from a few amazing friends and from me to keep her from losing her current home and her car and making sure she has food. The time has come to be more creative because she’s desperately in need of help until she can go back to work. She has to wait to get clearance from her doctor but it looks like she won’t have any income coming in until the end of August.

My sister is a very independent person and she’s very proud, so allowing me to do this fundraiser wasn’t easy for her but it’s the only way I know how to help her in her desperate time of need.
