PLEASE HELP MY NEPHEW ANTONIO JAMES

Hi, my name is Michelle Rossi and I'm asking you to help my precious nephew, Antonio James. Antonio was born premature along with his twin sister Mila James. Antonio, however, was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS).  HLHS is a serious congenital heart condition where the left side of the heart, its chambers and valvular structures are not developed. Antonio currently requires 24/7 treatment from the cardiothoracic intensive care unit, inclusive of life saving medications, invasive lines, supplemental oxygen and much more. He is fighting for his life, and he needs your help. 

The doctors and nurses are working around the clock to keep him stable but, Antonio will require several open-heart surgeries to reroute the circulation of his blood. These are complex surgeries performed by a pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon.  Melissa and Ryan are trying to do what any parent would do and get Antonio the best care possible. This comes with the burden of traveling, taking extended time off from work, paying for childcare for Mila Antonio's twin sister, expensive medications and day to day expenses to stay afloat. As an ER nurse and a mother, myself I cannot imagine anything WORSE than having to care for a critically ill child.

Last night Melissa was able to hold her son for the first time. He knew she was there and in fact kept his eyes open the whole time, affirmation that he will continue to fight for his mommy, his daddy, and baby sister. Antonio's mother an NYPD Detective for over 10 years and Antonio’s father a Firefighter for 16 years have been risking their lives to help others. Now, they need our help.
