My name is Edelyn. I have asked my brother-in-law Marc to help me start a fund raiser as I have never done this before. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help for my beautiful mother, Emily Martin is 64-year-old currently confined in a hospital in the Philippines. 
 
Just recently, my mum started experiencing severe difficulty in breathing. After medical examinations, doctors found that she has about 3 litres of fluid in her lungs, which urgently needs to be drained. Right now, we still don’t know exactly what illness she’s facing — further tests are needed to confirm the diagnosis, and we are doing everything we can to get answers and treatment as quickly as possible. 
 
As you can imagine, this has been incredibly hard on our family — emotionally and financially. My mum is the heart of our home: loving, generous, and always thinking of others before herself. Seeing her in this condition is heartbreaking, and we’re doing everything we can to support her. 
 
We’re hoping to raise an initial $3,000 AUD to help cover the urgent medical expenses, including: 
 
Procedures to remove the fluid from her lungs 
 
Diagnostic tests to determine what illness she’s fighting 
 
Hospital stay, medication, and daily care 
 
Every little bit helps — whether it's a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing this fundraiser with others. All funds will go directly toward my mum’s medical care and giving her the best chance at recovery.
