"Please help my Mom beat Harvey!"

Dear Family and Friends,
As I am sure you have all heard, Catagory 4 Hurricaine Harvey has hit us all a little too close to home this time. Unfortunately, not all of us were lucky enough to get out of its way. My Mom- Stephanie Caro, my Step Dad- Steven Caro, and my Aunt- Kim Wilson were a few of the THOUSANDS that have been evacuated and their homes destroyed by the storm.
After the horrible chain of events that happened in the last few days including many tornadoes, record breaking flooding, wind gusts, power outages, my Step-Dad being disabled, and water levels rising all the way up to their beds... they had to get out!
They finally made it out safe yesterday morning after waiting for a 911 rescue for about 15 hours (the story is on my page from the news, and thank you again to all involved! You are all truly a blessing!). Now that they are currently dry, and have had a chance to get some sort of a rest (and coffee) knowing everyone is safe for the time being, it was time to survey all the damage .
They made it back to the house to grab neccesities (and the cat that did not make it out yesterday) and the damage is quite excessive. All of floors are ruined, all the furniture is ruined, every room in the house has had at least 2'-4' (some parts of the house are higher then others) of water, cabinets.... you name it.
Well, that why I am here. Turns out, after my Mom got there, she decided to get the ball rolling beause this is going to be a long process. She called the insurance agency only to find out.... They are not covering ANYTHING in the house due to some technicallity
It's is so hard being so far away (Illinois) from your family in times like these. So, I am trying to help in any way I can.
My Mom is such a wonderful, loving, caring person that has dedicated her life to serving God. She has touched so many lives of others, and continues to do so. Seeing something like this happen to such a beautiful person, is so heartbreaking.
So, my family and I are asking for your help. We would like to raise money to help with the costs of repairs to the house and to help with temporary residency until the house is complete. And if you are unable to donate, and still would like to help, the power of prayer works wonders!
