Please Help my Mom Afford a Room

My mom Catherine, or Firefly as her friends know her (I call her fyfy), and I had to leave South Carolina on November 28th, 2017. In a Ford Taurus, we drove all the way to California where she had lived for many years in the 90s (which she is writing a book about being on dead tour!) She had many friends from her time there whom where able to help us for many months trying to get back on our feet.

My mom and I drove up the coast of California in April of 2019 and I was able to move in with my boyfriend and his family here. My mom was able to rent a room here for almost a whole year but had to leave. She recently had stomach surgery and had her appendix removed. I'm lucky enough my boyfriends family was able to let her stay and recover here but she couldn't stay.

As of today, its the day before my moms birthday. Her cars heater is broken and trying to get it fixed, however the mechanic told her not to come in because she is sick, even though she tested negative for covid. My grandma's birthday present to her is a motel room for the night, but even grandmas don't have unlimited money like I thought she did as a child. My boyfriend has a full-time job, I have a part-time job, and we're still struggling ourselves. My mom is disabled and is on a fixed income.

She is starting a business with her live music and live music livestreaming involvement! I want to help her so much more than I can. She is the most amazing mom I could ever ask for, she is the most loving, supportive and selfless person. I am devastated with this situation, and I need to ask for your help. I've talked about this with her and she wanted to reiterate she knows asking for help right now is a lot, but if her situation wasn't extreme, she wouldn't ask. I am desperate as well. I'm desperate to see my mom recover with a roof over her head, to spend her birthday with her in her own home.
