My Godson child of veteran

Please help us keep my 6 year old Godson with his mother and our family. Anyone who knows them knows what a loving, caring mother she is and what a miracle he is to us all. He truly has a way of lighting up our lives and the lives of everyone he meets. We are in the middle of a custody battle and no one seems to be thinking of the best interest of William. We need to come up with the money to get a lawyer who will advocate for her to keep this angel from God where he has always been, with his mother. His mother is the only care giver he has ever known. He has already had open heart surgery and will probably need another one. As this is common with children with Down Syndrome, imagine being 6 years old and removed from the only consistent person in your life who has always cared for you, not only through multiple medical conditions but your whole life. Infortunately William is not verbal so showing his emotions is a difficult task for him. Taking him from his mother will only add more stress to his poor little body. I truly appreciate everything no matter how big or small every little bit helps. My heart completely breaks in fear of losing him. I thank you all for everything.
