Please help Dad to help Mom

I am reaching out to our friends, family and community for help. On July 27th my mother, Diane Shaw was sent by ambulance to Deaconess hospital in Spokane. Her skin and eyes had turned yellow and she was having terrible stomach pains and was having trouble thinking clearly. She went into the Republic medical clinic as a walk in and they immediately sent her to the emergency room where they drew blood and discovered a 2.4 cm mass on her pancreas which we now know is pancreatic cancer. As you can all imagine, this news was terrifying and devastating to my family and my mother. The blessing that lies in this curse is that the tumor was pushing on and pinching off her bile duct on her gaulbladder and that's why she turned yellow because her body got backed up with billirubin.... The bile that's in the gaulbladder. If this hadn't happend, then we most likely would not have known about the tumor until it would have been too late as pancreatic cancer is a very silent type of cancer until it's usually in stage 4 and nothing is able to be removed. On top of all of this, her gaulbladder will have to be removed completely along with the cancerous mass. Not only will she have a long and painful road to recovery, she is going to have to change her diet completely. And to add to the stress, her diabetes was completely out of control... Partly because she couldn't eat properly because her stomach is always sick, but also because of the tumor.... The pancreas is what regulates blood sugar. Her surgery is scheduled for today, August 3rd, at 12 noon. The minimum she will have to stay in the hospital is 10-14 days but could be as long as a month or more. My parents live on a very small income and hotel rooms, even with a medical discount, are extremely expensive. I thank God that I had some money put away in savings so that I was able to pay for a hotel and food for Dad and I for 6 days and was able to leave him my truck so he is able to get around while I am back home taking care of loose ends and everything I can so that Mom and Dad don't have to worry about anything except for Mom to get better. However, we are now struggling to make ends meet at this point and my family needs help with out of pocket expenses. Most likely Mom will be in the hospital for all of August and I am asking for help so that dad can pay for hotel rooms, fuel and food. He has a cot set up in Mom's room, but the room is tiny and he said it's really hard to sleep there but he will do whatever he has to do to make sure my mother is comfortable and not alone. The hotel we were staying at is the quality inn downtown on 4th Street in Spokane. It's about 4 blocks from the hospital. Dad needs to be able to be rested and strong for my mother right now more then ever. Fuel back and forth so that me and my children (mom's grandkids) and my siblings can see her during this time is extremely expensive. It's important that she have her family surrounding her so that she feels loved and is strengthened. Being able to see her children and grandchildren as much as possible and being able to have her husband there by her side is what is going to get her through this. If you have ever met my mother, then you know what an amazing soul she is. My mother is probably the kindest, most selfless person I've ever met, and I'm so blessed to be her daughter. Even in her weakend state right now, she would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. She helps everyone and asks for nothing in return. But right now, she and our family needs help. Please help us so that we can keep my father by her side through all of this. Her family is everything to her and she is everything to us. Thank you everyone for the prayers, the love and any financial help.... We appreciate and love you all!
