Please Help My family And I Put My Father To Rest
Donation protected
On April 12th 2020, my Father Mitchell Osani suddenly passed away in our home unexpectedly. He had just turned 56 years old on March 19th, 2020.
My Father was a good man who has done so much for so many people throughout his lifetime. He left behind a family who already misses him dearly.
As we all grieve this tragic loss, we are currently dealing with the planning process. Unfortunately, my Dad did not have life insurance to help us through this process. We never had any clue we would have to lay my dad to rest so soon in his life.
So, due to lack of finances, I had to choose direct cremation. That means our family and family friends will not get to see my father one last time, to say goodbye and pay their respects. Even though during the covid-19 , the funeral home is willing to work with allowing 10 people at a time at different times. But in our case, financially more than 7 grand is quite impossible.
For his cremation and urn, we are looking at around 4900$ , which seems impossible in itself to achieve.
Even multiple death certificates cost money. Since gofundme takes a percentage, I put 5,000 as the goal.
I, his daughter, am a single mother to a child with brain cancer. Therefore, financially I have nothing to even start with.
I know right now during this Pandemic, it is the worst possible time for something like this to happen.. and to be asking for help.
The funeral home we are using is R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A. in Rising Sun MD.
They, as all funeral homes do, are keeping my father until everything is paid.
We just want to bring my father home. I am sad my Dad won't get a regular memorial service, with all his friends and family there like he deserves. But getting him back home with us is the number one priority. We can always do a gathering after this Pandemic is over.
If you choose to donate, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. And if you cannot donate ( which I understand), then please atleast consider sharing this to spread the word.
Thank you.
Sincerely, Nikole Osani
