<div>Hi my name is Bud Fallon and I am here to raise funds to assist my brother with legal bills to get his son back to the United States. On August 18th my brother's son, Michael, was abducted by my brother's wife and her parents and taken to South Korea. My brother, his wife, and her parents have been living with my mom since March so that my brother could work and pay off the debt they had as a family. Their intentions were to eventually land jobs in Los Angeles and move back out here where they first met. My brother is an amazing loving Dad who right now is gutted and missing his son. He has been working hard for his family and never had reason to believe his wife would leave with his son. My mother opened her house not only to my brother and his wife but also to her parents when they came to visit for baby Mike's 1st Birthday. The parents were due to return to Korea the 1st week of September. My mom is an incredible human who not only was keeping them all fed but was a huge part of taking care of baby Mike, my mom woke every morning at 6 am, fed baby Mike, played with him for a few hours, and put him down for his first nap mid-morning. Baby Mike was in a loving and safe home and had visits from lots of Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. He is an incredibly happy, sweet, and loving little boy that we all miss dearly.

<div>Over the last month, my brother's wife has been acting irrationally and aggressively at times. She kept stating she wanted to move to LA immediately, her parents also were pushing for this immediate move. My brother was never opposed to this move, but he kept telling her that they needed to land jobs there and find a place to live first for the safety and well-being of the baby. His wife and her parents kept pushing for this irrational and abrupt move. Their original plan was to pay off all debt they had accrued from moving multiple times during the Pandemic, have his wife work on her English language skills, and build up more job stability. They seemed to not care about those plans or the wellbeing of Baby Mike.

<div>Mike had met his wife while they both lived in LA. They were married here ( I live in LA) and first got pregnant while living here. His wife insisted she needed to be near "help" with the baby. My brother gave notice to his job and they planned to move to Massachusetts where we have family. Unfortunately, they lost that first baby before they moved but his wife still wanted to move East and said living in the same place would be hard for her after her miscarriage. To Boston they went. They spent close to 2 years living with my Mom, but his wife was really missing her family back in Korea. They went for what was going to be a 1-year visit to Korea but ended up getting pregnant again while there with Baby Mike. The pregnancy extended their original plans, and they spent 18 months in Busan, Korea. Mike worked while there, but with limited Korean to his resume, he wasn't able to make much of a salary. As soon as baby Mike was big enough to fly, they returned to the US and moved back in with my Mom on Cape Cod in MA. Mike landed a job quickly and started paying off the debt that they built with all the moving and medical bills associated with having a baby. He was working extra hours to help pay it all off quicker when this horror story happened. Both my brother and his wife wanted to live in the US and raise their child here. His wife actually expressed to me only a week before this abduction how there were so many more options here for her son and for a woman with a baby than there were in her home country of Korea.

<div>I apologize if my writing is all over the place but it's been a very hard week and none of us are sleeping much. Right now all I know is my brother needs serious help as he needs to hire Korean lawyers to file legal papers in Korea to get the process going. We already have a list of lawyers the US embassy has recommended and Mike has had some consultations. Mike has also been granted custody of baby Mike by a US judge. Mike needs to file a Hague request in Korea so that international law will be applied to this abduction. If you research the Hague Act you will see what it's all about. We are also in the process of trying to get media coverage of this to help people be aware.....One part of this I have not mentioned that was very upsetting is once we realized they had disappeared on Friday afternoon we called anyone and everyone we knew in Law Enforcement and Government to help track them down......finally, at 11 p.m. Friday night, once the police started looking into it they were located at JFK airport with tickets to fly to Korea! My brother and I both were on the phone with Port Authority Police, My brother begged the Police to stop the abduction but the Police couldn't do anything without having a court order, and at 11 pm on a Friday that was impossible.
