UPDATE: Atilla has been under regular exotic vet care since July 2024. He has done an amazing job with weekly vet check ups, daily meds, supplmental food treatments, check up on his heart murmur, antibiotic shots, and teeth trimming. The last few weeks he is not feeling well. His regular vet is on leave until September. He has less poop and seems to have some stomach issues. The other exotic vet put him under and saw he had a mouth sore. He is on two pain meds and his regular heart meds and he got an antibiotic shot. He is scheduled to go back next week but I have not more space on the card I use for his treatment. And I am not even able to make a dent in the balance because of their interests charge and other charges. As a result the card is now over its limit and there seems to be no end to the fees. I don't know what to do. I am asking for any assistance you might be able to offer. I havI need my furbaby Atilla to get better and to be able to get his treatments. But right now he can't. I appreciate any help you can offer.

I am not able to get caught up on paying this card because of all of the extremely high monthly fees. I make a payment and then the fees are triple what I can pay. I don't see how I can get caught up. Since I do not have my regular full time job I struggle to pay my vet bills.
I have 6 chinchillas, and I have had them since 2015. I brought them from California to Utah in 2016, and they have been my babies. They are my ESA support. [update: I lost Napolean in November of 2024] I noticed that Atilla was not feeling well. Atilla started receiving treatment in July 2024 and is such a fighter and is doing much better after battling pneumonia, pancreas issues, heart issues, and arthritis. I recently brought in Napolean in November, who is now fighting pneumonia and heart issues. He has begun his long-term treatment today, and I was told that his treatment will be 3-4 months. I just brought Chili in because he was less active and was sleeping a lot. Luckily he does not have pneumonia but has some pain issues going on. He will start his treatment this week for a while. I have to bring each of them in once a week for a follow-up visit and possibly adjustment of their medications.
When I brought Atilla in in July, I had no idea that this would go on so long and also have two other sick chinchillas. Needless to say, my chinchillas are my babies. I would do anything for them. I am devastated that two of them were so sick before I got them help. I am thankful that I have an amazing vet here and that they are all under treatment now. I am thankful to CareCredit and my credit cards, but now I need to pay off these bills. I am asking for any help. Every little bit will help. I always give to animal rescues and shelters. I am now in need of help myself. I am reaching out for help.
I recently left my full-time salaried job in August due to health issues. I only have a part-time job. So I am determined to pay off these vet bills in time.
Atilla has been on his healing journey since July and is getting stronger. Napolean is starting his 4-month journey, and Chili is starting his 2-month journey.
