Please Help Moose get an MRI

Donation protected
We are posting update under the update section of this fundraiser as we receive them from Shannon .  To summarize- Moose received his MRI - thank you everyone ! We received devastating news .. cancer was found in his head , lungs and heart. We are heartbroken. The new meds he was placed on caused a very bad reaction but he is doing a little better tonight . He gave Shannon quite a scare!

Shannon is enjoying every moment with Moose .
They are taking it day by day and focusing on keeping Moose happy and comfortable.  We will update with info on his treatment plan once he sees other doctors this week .

Any leftover funds will be used within the rescue to help another family in need.

Please continue to send positive thoughts Please consider making a small donation to him ❤

Moose suffers with terrible storm anxiety, he hurt himself a few weeks ago because of a bad thunderstorm. Moose's mom is an Angel, she has saved and helped so many animals (including myself and my rescue pit, "Lee") and now she needs help but refuses to ask...so I'm trying the best I can --
Some of you may know about  thepitbullcrewdogrescue and if you do, then you have seen the number of dogs she helps and you may also know that Moose has been a warrior for 4+ years...yes, a cancer survivor for over 4 years!!! They already had sessions of cold laser therapy  with no improvement  and they had a consult at SVS today that cost $100 and just today's estimate is $2333 to $2929..I hope you all see why we high balled the goal.

This is Moose…. Moose needs our help. His mommy Shannon needs our help. Today has been an emotional l roller coaster and many tears shed. Not only by Shannon, but by her friends and family. I know many reading have been touched by Shannon’s kindness … and we have Moose to thank for this.
Moose , unknown to him, has done so much – he is a very special doggie.
Moose  has brought so many people together  in so many ways – he has helped formed lifetime friends.
Moose is the reason Shannon formed her 501c3 rescue Moose’s Legacy , d/b/a The Pit Bull Crew Dog Rescue. He is the mascot found on bumper stickers, t-shirts, coolie cups, phone cases and everything we could fit his adorable little face on over the years!
Had Shannon not fostered failed her rescue Moose, many many other dogs would not have been saved from shelters and others from horrid conditions.

Moose is at the vet seeing a neurologist  today and  is supposed to be getting an MRI – currently as I type this he hasn’t gotten it yet, they are still at the vet waiting and going over some things and might have to transport him to another facility .

Moose has storm anxiety like so many of our dogs do.  There was a bad storm and Shannon wasn’t home and Moose hit his head multiple times on the baby gate trying to get out of the bedroom.  He had a small cut on his head and his eye was red. Fast forward – the cuts healed but his eye began to swell and bulge and over the past 48 hours his head has swelled significantly , he started to drool and twitch and doesn’t stand to great her.

Attached is the estimate received from h the neurologist today.

We are asking for help for Moose and Shannon because they deserve it.  Shannon is ALWAYS the first person to drop what she is doing and help no questions …. Well except , “Where, When, What Time?” She helps not only animals , but humans too.  She is the first person many of us call when we need help because we know we can rely on her.  She is there in so many ways no matter how big or small the cause is we can count on her. There are too many examples to list for how much Shannon has done for so many dogs and people…. Just to list some that we have personally  been involved with Shannon on  ---transporting dogs,   paying for gas to transport dogs, sponsoring dogs medical care, purchasing dog food and supplies for many in need animal owners, paying for animals in need of emergency  surgeries, heartworm treatment, Parvo treatments , helping to pack houses, helping move across the country, coordinate and take part in on the ground recovery, clean up and fundraisers for Irma victims in Lee and Collier County and TX,  buying items for many  children in need, helping families with medical crisis , the list is really too long and this post is for Moose… Again , I know many reading have been touched by Shannon’s kindness … and we have Moose to thank for this.

We are all about paying it forward and to date there really is no one else that deserves it more than Shannon. She is a true Angel

We are asking everyone we know to skip one beverage run ( coffee , tea, wine, beer, etc) and donate , really no amount too small. I know many can’t help financially and that is ok- please share and ask friends and family to do the same. And please send many positive thoughts and prayers for Shannon and Moose . Moose is her whole world.

If you prefer to send direct to Paypal :   [email redacted] – Please reference  Moose - we will adjust the fundraiser accordingly.

In the “rescue” world it is not customary  and even shunned to ask for help for your own pets, even though Moose was a rescue and a foster fail.  Shannon is not asking --to make that clear – her friends and family are because we couldn’t  live with ourselves not helping her when she has done so much for us and our animals, especially over the past 6 years .

PLEASE HELP THE ANGEL WHO HAS HELPED SO MANY
