My ability to pay rent and afford basic necessities is coming to a close by the end of this September 2025!

I am terrified and trying to be brave, but I am all alone, battling a non-contagious illness, and I humbly ask you for your help, please! I am very sick and will die from my illness if it continues to be left untreated, and now my family of precious rescues and I are facing homelessness, being separated, and none of us will survive without each other! This is the scariest reality I have ever had to face, and I cannot do it on my own...

I love my family of rescues more than my own life and cannot let that happen! I am very fragile right now, but I have to be stronger and braver than ever before because these innocent cats are depending on me, and I want to live!

I would be so thankful to turn our lives around and finally live a SAFE, HEALTHY, HAPPY, POSITIVE, AND PEACEFUL LIFE.

Why This Matters:

I am a singer and the caretaker of a very large family of senior & special needs rescues. I adopted most of them over 16 years ago when I had decades of savings and great health. The rescues were all cats that no one else wanted; many came from serious abuse situations, most have behavioral issues, and one came from an animal testing facility. Most were adopted as seniors and are special needs. 16 years ago, I decided to center my life around these rescues, who have become my family, even putting off going on tour with my band to be here for the kitties. I have spent 16 years rehabilitating these rescues. I love these cats more than anything in the world, and they rely on me and are all very bonded. Giving up the cats is not an option; adoption is for life through thick and thin, and the answer is to find ways to stay together.

How I Got Here:

I lost all my savings in the pandemic because when the pandemic hit, I helped my neighbors, my community, my co-workers, and the homeless, all while prices were skyrocketing higher than I have ever seen. Few people, including me, knew how to deal with the pandemic or when it would be over, and it drained all my savings quickly.

At the same time, I was also laid off due to COVID fears.

So, I started to sell my large wardrobe of rare vintage I had acquired for my music life down to the point where I now only have a few dresses to my name. I was able to sustain my family for several years with this, but the collection dwindled, and sales are non-existent now.

Then, after never being sick in my life, out of nowhere I got seriously ill with a non-contagious illness that turned my life upside down in the worst ways and made me bedridden for the greater part of the last 3 and a half years. Immobility, throwing up day and night, unable to eat food, unable to drink any liquids, unbearable stomach pain, pain throughout my limbs and bones and veins, migraine, fever, lesions on my skin, damage to my gums and teeth - are just some of the many symptoms that I have been going through and still am on most levels. I am too embarrassed to show what I look like now.

3 years after contracting this illness, last year towards the end of 2024, I was finally able to see doctors and then only because a friend loaned me the money and only for testing with blood work, stool samples, and scans. There was no extra money for further required testing or treatment. From these tests, there are three doctors that told me in the forms of letters to my family that if I did not get medical care ASAP, my teeth would fall out (from all the throwing up) and I would die because there are so many issues with my digestion not working, blood clots, bone issues, a kidney stone, possible cancer, skin lesions, and other pains that are undiagnosed because of lack of money.

Currently, I get winded and faint doing basic activities and have daily ongoing pain, upset stomach, fever, migraine, swollen lymph nodes, fevers, and nausea. My anxiety is constant. I have panic attacks doing most basic activities. I have insomnia, and when I do sleep, it is for 30 minutes at a time with nightmares. I was not like this 3 years ago, and I desperately hope to stabilize my health and return to a normal functioning human who is not always in pain.

Turning my life around from the brink of critical health and poverty with the need for job training and landing a job is realistically going to take at least a year. Thus, I am humbly asking for enough funds as I navigate these troubled waters for 12 months.

I need to make some serious life changes ASAP. My family will need rent, utilities, and survival money for the next 12 months as I try with all my might to turn our lives around. We live in a rent-controlled building, and if we moved anywhere, they would require a year of rent upfront as well as it would cost a small fortune to move. I am also central to a lot of necessary places like vets and other businesses. I get easily stressed, so staying in familiar territory means a lot to my healing.

The first step is getting my health attended to so I can function. I need a new scan of my stomach, new bloodwork, a colonoscopy and endoscopy; I need to visit specialist doctors; I need to get medications once they do all these tests; and then I need physical therapy, as I cannot do basic functions like walk up stairs. I get faint and winded standing up, etc. Especially for an office job, I need to be able to perform these functions.

Once my health is diagnosed, treated, and stabilized, I can focus on job training.

All I have ever had is minimum wage jobs as I focused on music, and that is not going to cut it anymore in LA, the most expensive city in America where prices have gone up 10 times since the pandemic and keep going up. I must get a salary-paying job that can sustain our family. I need to be earning $80,000 a year. I need to now earn a certificate in such a job and then find a job and get situated with a salary rolling in.

If anyone has any ideas of what I can train in or do that is vegan-friendly (does not sell or serve animals) in Los Angeles, that pays $80k a year, please let me know! Once I am healthy, I have the drive, determination, and I am eager to work hard! Since I take care of rescues, working remotely at home would be great, but I am open to anything that is vegan-friendly and pays what we need.

I am very good in customer service and I have a lot of knowledge about pop culture, vintage clothes, and antiques. I love animals, especially cats, and I care deeply about the homeless - any job that includes that I could be great at. I am also open to trying anything new as long as it is vegan-friendly. I cannot drive long distances as I get anxiety attacks, but anything in or near West Hollywood would be ideal.

I am also including a stipend for a small wardrobe, makeup, and toiletries as I have gone without most of these necessities for over 5 years as I sold them or ran out of the ability to buy them.

As I have a large family of senior and special needs rescues, I am also including funds for their current known health conditions, which include many of them being in various stages of medical care and any unforeseen medical emergencies that will arise over the next 12 months.

Having to ask for help is humiliating for me. I don't like being a burden; however, I have to put aside my pride, or I will lose everyone I care about and even our own lives!
