This is my cat Lexii. She has been my best friend for the past 13 years. I got Lexii when I was starting kindergarten, and now I am graduating high school in one month. I've had her for a huge chunk of my life, and she's been the closest thing to me other than my actual family.
About 3 months ago, Lexii got a cut on her paw that swelled up very badly. We took her to the vet where they did X-rays and discovered she had leukemia. The vets gave her medicine and a shot in her paw, and they said it should fix itself. Over the past few weeks, her paw has gotten increasingly worse. The cut has turned into a huge rotten hole in her paw; it's begun eating itself, and she is no longer eating due to the pain. She has shrunk to a third of her original size and is a shell of the happy, active cat that she used to be.
I really don't want to put her down as I mentioned before she has been my best friend, but I know she is in a lot of pain and if I can't get her help soon that will be my only option. Vet bills are very, very expensive, and I really need help saving my cat. Please help me; any donation helps, even if it's just $1.
(I did not include a picture of the other side of her paw as it is very graphic)
