Hi, my name is Nicole and I am the fur mommy of Prince. This was my absolute last resort in trying to save my fur baby. Prince fell ill Saturday night, bleeding out. He stopped eating, drinking, and going to the bathroom, so I took him to the vet on Monday. They did all kinds of testing, sent him home with medicine, and told me to monitor him. Tuesday morning comes around, and Prince has still not gone to the bathroom, so I called the vet. They gave him two more medicines to start in hopes that whatever he had going on would resolve. The vet was thinking that it was cystitis or a severe UTI. Tuesday night, no improvement happened. I still continued to monitor him. I came home from work on Wednesday morning to find my cat almost unresponsive. I called the vet right away, and the vet told me to bring him right in, so I did that this morning. They did an x-ray and found out that he has a severe blockage in the bladder, and so the only fix for that is emergency surgery or death. They rushed him to emergency surgery. As most of you know, the vet requires payment upfront before anything can happen, but because it was such a serious emergency and almost always fatal, my vet took him back after giving him $500 and told me I had to come up with the other $2500.00. I’m coming here to all my friends and family in hopes of trying to raise the other $2500 so that I can bring my fur baby home after recovery. I am a person who always gives and never asks for anything, especially when it comes to my animals, so to come here and ask for help really hits the heart, but there isn’t anything that I won’t do to help my babies. And being a single mom of three and a fur rescue mom of 12, funds are very tight right now. This emergency came out of nowhere with him falling ill, so I need a little help right now. Even a dollar would get me closer to my goal, and if you can’t donate, I totally understand it. Everybody is struggling these days. My baby boy is only 10 years old and has many more years of life to live, and so I had to give him that chance. Even if you can’t donate, just sharing this GoFundMe will mean the absolute world to me. Anything that I can get closer to my goal makes me closer to bringing my baby boy home. I am forever grateful and indebted to anyone who can help me out in this hard time. He is the most loving, gentle, cuddly, amazing boy, and he deserves this chance. Update: Prince has had to have another surgery to insert a bladder catheter. And was given more medication to tryin help him urinate. To this point it has not been successful. Our next step is to see a urologist specialist to consult about another possible surgery to where Prince will automatically pee on his own without trying or straining. I’m so sorry I can’t spell the name of the surgery but it is a complex one. If this surgery is done, the cost of that surgery is over 3500.00 and I just don’t have that kind of money. So I’m praying so hard we can figure this out and help my poor boy. He’s so exhausted and uncomfortable from being so sick but he is fighting to stay alive! Please please please help me to help him.
