<div>Hi, my name is Adriana Muñoz, and I’m asking for help to save my beloved Husky, Hunter. ❤️
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hunter is more than just my dog — he is my family, my best friend, and a huge part of my life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’d like to tell you his story through his eyes.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>---
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi, my name is Hunter, and I’m a handsome, happy Husky — at least that’s what my mom always tells me. ❤️
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, I need a little help from some kind-hearted people.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My mom has been taking me to Sue Higgins Park in Calgary, Alberta, since I was only nine months old. It’s one of my favourite places in the world. I get to run, play, meet furry friends, and explore.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And being a Husky, sometimes my curiosity gets the better of me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, one ordinary day at the park turned into a frightening veterinary emergency.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A Porcupine Encounter Changed Everything
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I was running and playing when I noticed a strange little animal. Curious as always, I went to investigate.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Before I knew what was happening, I had encountered a porcupine.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My face, chest, and paws were suddenly covered in painful porcupine quills.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My mom was terrified.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A kind person helped get me out of the situation, and my mom immediately rushed me to an emergency veterinarian in Calgary. The veterinary team removed most of the quills, and we hoped the worst was behind us.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, it wasn't.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Two Days Later, I Couldn't Breathe Properly
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Two days after the porcupine encounter, I suddenly became very sick.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I was vomiting and struggling to breathe, so my mom rushed me back to the emergency vet.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Blood tests showed concerns with my liver. Then my breathing became even worse.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The veterinary team took X-rays and discovered something frightening: air had accumulated around my lungs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The veterinarians are concerned that one or more porcupine quills may have migrated deeper into my body, potentially reaching the area around my lungs.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They performed a procedure to remove the trapped air and help me breathe more comfortably.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But my fight isn't over.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hunter Now Needs a CT Scan and Possibly Surgery
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The next step is a CT scan so the veterinary specialists can try to locate any remaining porcupine quill or quills inside my body.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Depending on what they find, I may need emergency surgery to remove them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The estimated cost of my veterinary treatment is approximately $12,000–$15,000.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My mom is devastated.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She has already done everything she can to get me the emergency veterinary care I need, but these unexpected medical bills have become more than she can manage alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That's why we're asking for your help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please Help Hunter Get the Treatment He Needs
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation — whether it's $5, $10, $20 or more — brings me one step closer to receiving the CT scan, treatment, and possible surgery I need.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your support could help me:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>- Get the CT scan needed to locate the remaining quill or quills
</div>
<div>- Receive emergency veterinary treatment
</div>
<div>- Have surgery if the specialists determine it is necessary
</div>
<div>- Breathe comfortably again
</div>
<div>- Recover and come home healthy to my mom
</div>
<div>- Get back to being the happy, energetic Husky everyone knows and loves
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you're unable to donate, please share my GoFundMe fundraiser with your friends, family, coworkers, and fellow dog lovers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>One share can travel further than you might imagine and could reach the person who helps make all the difference.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hunter Isn't Just a Dog — He's Family
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My mom is my whole world, and I know I'm hers too.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I still have so many adventures ahead of me. I want more walks, more cuddles, more Husky conversations, more furry friends to chase, and many more happy years beside my mom.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We never imagined that a day of playing at a Calgary dog park could turn into a medical emergency like this.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We're asking our Calgary community, Alberta dog lovers, Husky families, animal lovers, and anyone who understands how much our pets mean to us to please help if you can.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>No donation is too small.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And if donating isn't possible, sharing Hunter's story is just as appreciated.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please help me get back on my paws.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read Hunter's story, share this fundraiser, donate, or simply send positive thoughts his way.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every bit of support means more to us than we can express.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With love and lots of Husky hugs,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hunter &amp; his mom, Adriana ❤️

<div>Help Hunter breathe again.
</div>
<div>Help Hunter come home healthy.
</div>
<div>Help Hunter run again.
