Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Mark Martinez, who is currently facing a devastating and unexpected medical crisis. Mark has been diagnosed with a very large tumor on his spine that has already eaten through the bone. In addition, doctors have discovered lesions on the front of his skull, his right hip, and a mass on his thyroid.

Mark and his incredible wife, Christie, are in the thick of testing and consultations as they try to understand the full scope of his condition. What we do know right now is that spinal surgery will be necessary — and that a long, uncertain road lies ahead.

As they navigate this deeply challenging time, we want to rally around them with love, strength, and support. The last thing Mark and Christie should have to worry about is how they’re going to afford the life-saving treatments and medical care Mark needs.
